Great for Princess Tea Party, especially before cupcakes and the inevitable discussion of table manners ( )

Although I was not a fan of this book, it did do a great job of presenting manners and when to use them. However, I felt as though this book was directed toward girls only, so it is definitely something that should be read at home versus in a school setting in my opinion. The main idea of the book was to teach children about manners and gave several instances in which manners should be used. For example, the book stated, "Princesses say thank you when they receive a gift, do you?" I did like that after each instance where manner should be used, "do you" was asked repeatedly to allow the reader to think about the statement. I also enjoyed that the characters in the book were Disney princesses, so they were extremely relatable to children who are familiar with Disney stories and movies. Overall, though, I did not enjoy this book as much as I thought I would have and I did not like the fact that it was directed toward one specific gender since both girls and boys should present manners. ( )

I loved this book! It fit me just perfect. I always joke around with friends and family by calling myself a princess because my name "Sarah" means just that! So my room is full of Princess this and Princess that. The book describes all teh things that princess' do and how they act. It was nice to each page with a different princess on it and what they do, whether it'd be cleaning up after themselves or just being polite and having good manners! I loved the illustrations and how bold the pictures were. They deffinately made a statement. ( )
