Op dit moment geen Discussie gesprekken over dit boek. it's a very cute book, but the non stop rhyming hurts my brain - i keep wanting to rhyme things for no reason for ages after reading it ( ) I have to admit, I found the idea of this book enchanting. An entire book in verse?! Incredible! But within the first two chapters, the rhythm was driving me crazy. I felt like there were some clever rhymes, but because of the set pattern, the rhymes and story line were stretched and repetitive. I wish the author had experimented with all different kinds of poetry to tell the story. I love the idea of this book, but couldn't stand the actual book itself. I loved reading this, and can see it's qualities as a great read aloud. The vocabulary is great, the rhymes are silly and nonsensical; the typesetting is just plain weird, but the fun quality of the book is true. Princess just wants to read all day, every day, and wear her pajames; she doesn't care if she is different. Prince wants to fit in but never can quite seem to, and their family and subjects judge them harshly as they try to march to their own drum beats. It's a story of being judged by those around us and staying true to self, despite the many pressures we receive telling us we must act and dress in certain manners. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
