By the end, I was very happy to have read this novel. I was thrown by the point of view changes, but all the characters are interesting and the plot is good and the worldbuilding interesting, so I'm glad I stuck with it. ( )

A decent idea, but poor execution. The dialogue is atrocious. This author has written some great stories, but this is not one of them. ( )

It begins interesting and the first three quarters of the book are despite some typos,editing problems and even inconsistencies quite entertaining ,how ever the last quarter of the book is flawed by serious plot holes, stupid and even childish dialogues and too much Deus ex machina, where the Goddess is NOT involved. A good portion of what happens in Navath, especially the parts involving the queen is an direct insult to the reader's intelligence. But the worst thing about this book is the rushed and no existing ending. While a lot of important things are left open the author is opting for a forced and rushed and unnecessary sex scene (spoiler alert )between Sorin and Koray (End of spoiler) ]to end the book.
So why do I give this book 3.5 stars in spite of so many flaws? I still enjoyed most of it and I believe with some editing , revising the Navath part at the end which is too simplistic , absolutely illogical and childish on top of that, and adding a proper ending to the book , it could actually be good. ( )

Love Megan Derr's work. Her world building skills are epic! This was no exception. Sucked me in from the first chapter and was so hard to be responsible and go to bed at a decent hour instead of reading this right through!
