I read this in a bind-up ([b:First Season / Bride To Be|25880415|First Season / Bride To Be|Jane Ashford|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1436487282s/25880415.jpg|45757746]) with another of her novels, [b:First Season|5126677|First Season|Jane Ashford|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1329430212s/5126677.jpg|5193530], but the other book was so bad that I had to rate them separately or this would have ended up with one star. This was a delightful read with just a couple of things that kept it from being a four-star book. First, it was in a bind-up with a book I despised, and I just couldn't shake my impressions of the first one while reading this one. The second was the villain plot, which felt kind of random and nonsensical. But, the characters were engaging (no pun intended) and the development of the romance felt real and natural.
