Title: An accountant with a midlife crisis get's more than he asked for

Story Summary:

Stanley Merriweather is having a midlife crisis. Of course it's all about his father but that is besides the point. He needs to do something that shows the world he has what it takes to stand on his own. So one night while he is walking around downtown, something he realizes might not have been a bright idea considering he is your stereotypical accountant, Stanley see's a woman in distress and rushes to her aid. Of course Stanley didn't realize she was just waiting for a distraction to deal with her problem. The next think he knows he's on the ground staring at funny stars and the mugger has moved on to the next life. All Stanley has to show for his efforts is a bite mark from something.

Of course no good deed, attempted or not, goes unpunished. Stanley soon finds that he get's rather hairy around the time of the full moon. Positives are he's starting to get a nice six pack without doing anything, he can get any girl he wants, and the neighbor dogs don't give him any more trouble. Negatives, pretty much he getting a taste for fresh meat. The fresher the better.

So now Stanley has a few problems. His father wants to add him to his collection of wall trophy's, a crazy vampire / were wolf hunter is on his tail, and he doesn't know how to break it to his new girlfriend that he has tiny problem around the time of the full moon.

The biggest problem Stanley has is that he wants to get rid of the Were Wolf curse but everyone tells him that it can't be done. Of course they don't know just how crazy events can get when your dealing with a bumbling accountant having a mid-life crisis.

Conclusion:

This story was OK. It does have some funny moments, but most of it feels like a lot skits that were stitched together to make a story that had and has been done before. Not to say that this is a bad book, it just runs really fast from point to point with a few laughs along the way. The best part really is the end and I kinda want to know what happened with that situation, without the focus on Stanley. All in all this isn't a bad read if you happen to come across it somewhere, just don't expect anything deep and you'll probably get a few laughs. ( )
