Synopsis: 'Fourteen-year-old Evan Warrender travels with his father to the Dardenelles, where they intend to provide succor to the Allied soldiers. Review: This story is told through the diary of a teenager. It is compelling, particularly in regard to the teen's feelings about his father suffering from shell-shock and having to be taken care of, rather than acting as a parent. It is well worth more than one read. ( )
