The thing about this book is that I was reading it late at night, curled up in my bed, and I started to feel the dark closing in on me. At that point you can do one of two things: turn on all the lights, or keep reading. So I kept reading.

Sometimes I find the banter between JC, Happy, and Melody to be repetitive (same with the constant "Ghost Girl Kim," as if we don't know) but friends get into those sort of patterns and this is a group of very close friends.

I enjoy that no matter what else they're doing there's that one Big Bad lurking in the background, just waiting to strike, and I really enjoy that they never forget that.

These books are good fun, if your idea of good fun is to get a little scared while reading. Mine is. (

After coming too close to the truth the ghost finders are sent to investigate a "minor" inn haunting that turns extreme. New enemies from beyond are establishing a beachhead in our reality. A good enjoyable read. (
