I'm surprised at just how much I enjoyed reading this novel! The Legend of the Blue Eyes is the first novel in the trilogy and let me tell you, its worth a read! B. Kristin McMichael has a new and original take on Vampires and the Vampire World. Divided into clans the Vampires or rather "night humans" are at war and Arianna(main character) is the only hope of uniting them. Arianna is an captivating character, she's sweet, kind, and strong. Of all the characters in this book, I really liked Devin! He was tough, deep and complicated. He's a fierce warrior who has his own secrets and duties to Arianna and the world of the night humans. The Legend of the Blue Eyes has a great story-line and the characters are so lovable, fun and in a sense made the book come alive. Overall, it's a captivating story with romance and danger, and I really think this novel will develop into something great, I cannot wait to see what happens in the next novel! I highly recommend it! also posted on So Many Books, So Little Time The Legend of Blue Eyes (The Blue Eyes Trilogy) by B. Kristin McMichael Arianna Grace was the average 15 year old girl. Orphaned and living with her Aunt and Uncle, she never knew what happened to her parents. Then on her 16th birthday her entire life changes. She learns what happened to her parents, and exactly who she is. She is a Vampire. A very original vampire story. I like that in a book. Arianna is very likable, she is faced with teen problems as well as learning to cope with her Vampire heritage. Having two types of vampires warring among themselves adds to the intense drama. When Arianna finds that she is the one that can bring peace among the vampires things get really intense. I highly recommend The Legend of the Blue Eyes to those who love a fantastic vampire story. The cover is perfect, exactly what I expected Arianna to look like. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe

Arianna Grace liked her boring, Midwestern, teenage life where she ignored the many unanswered questions of her childhood. Why were her parents dead? Why did she not have family? Where was she raised until she was five? When someone offers to explain it all, Arianna thinks she’s just getting answers. Instead, she is thrown into a world of night humans who drink blood.
On Arianna's sixteenth birthday, her world is thrown upside down when she changes into a vampire. Night humans, or demons, as some call them, live in normal society. Learning all of the new rules of a world she didn’t know existed might be hard enough, but it's further complicated by two former-friends that now want to help her take her role as the successor to her grandfather. There is a war going on between the night humans. Sides have been taken and lines are not crossed. Four main clans of night humans are struggling for control of the night. Divided into two sides, clans Baku and Tengu have been at war for centuries with the clans Dearg-dul and Lycan. That is, until Arianna Grace finds out the truth; she’s the bridge of peace between the two sides. But not everyone wants peace. With the night humans divided, Arianna is now a pawn in the war between them. She must choose a side—her mother’s family or her father’s—and for once in her life, decide her own fate. This was not quite the book I expected it to be it was definitely different from what I normally read, paranormal wise anyway. I thought this was more of a vampire paranormal book, but it definitely is not. But I can say that this book had me turning the pages as fast as I could. I had to know what was going to happen next. If you're like me when you're reading this book you'll be sitting on the edge of your seat waiting to see what is going to happen next. Although I did really like this book tremendously. I don't think that I will continue with the series. ( )
