Missing in Death features the Staten Island Ferry, blood in a toilet and a missing mother, when the mother turns up again she's missing a chunk of memory, however the blood suggests a body, and that's missing too, when Dallas starts digging she finds that the blood is from a nasty assassin and the investigation takes a few twists.
Both are good introductions to the series and the characters but as part of the series they are good reads, little snippets of interaction between characters I have come to know and love and enjoy visiting with occasionally. ( )
