The teacher can highlight what may happen to these beautiful creatures if we continue to destroy their homes and land. In turn the effects of where each animal sits in the food chain can be discussed and students can develop inquiry questions related to how this would directly affect us. Each animal and its special abilities/attack methods will be compared and contrasted. Extension: From what the students learn from this text they are then to choose one animal and apply this new knowledge to create a narrative from the point of view as the child as the animal. The narrative is to use specialized jargon directly related to the species and the student is to incorporate the scientific facts about how they prey. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
