The fourth volume in the award-winning Timmy Quinn series. At eleven years of age, strange things started to happen to a boy named Timmy Quinn. His ordinary life was abruptly thrown into chaos by the revelation that there exists a separate plane of existence reserved solely for the vengeful spirits of the murdered: The Curtain. Worse, Timmy is a conduit for these monstrous entities, allowing them to walk freely between worlds to exact their brutal vengeance. His search for answers has taken him halfway around the world, forcing him to endure many horrors, among them the revelation that the spiritual realm known as The Stage may have been man-made, and that the dead do not operate of their own free will, but are instead influenced by an enigmatic figure known only as 'Peregrine. 'About this man, Timmy knows nothing. But he will learn, and in time, he will come to know Peregrine as an adversary worse than the vengeful dead. This is Peregrine's Tale. This edition includes two bonus short stories and an excerpt from the final volume NEMESIS.… (meer)

This was a enjoyable ghost story but only a very short book serving as a bridge between the main Timmy Quinn story and what I believe is to be the final book in this series. Clearly it has to be read to make sense of the final events. There are also two bonus ghost stories included in the book which were also enjoyable. ( )

This is probably my least favorite of the series, but only because there's no Tim. I kinda figured this was going to be the case when I started reading, but a guy can hope. That's okay, though, as it filled in a few blanks while creating more questions that I hope will be answered by the final book NEMESIS.

I am now taking a break from the Timmy Quinn series and reading another book (don't know what yet) because I don't want to be in Timmy Quinn overload upon starting the next book. A week off should be good, I think.

I can say almost nothing more about PEREGRINE'S TALE for two reasons. First, the story is short. Second, just about anything I could mention would be a spoiler because of reason number one. ( )
