"The Wing on a Flea" by Ed Emberley showed a variety of shapes on different objects, animals and insects. The concept of this book is shapes. The dimensions of this book are: enable natural connections to math, provide opportunity for reader to use math for authentic purpose, make use of reader's repertoire of knowledge, and delight in mathematics inquiry. I think this a fun/engaging book for a child just being introduced to shapes or even if they have some knowledge of shapes. It is a fun concept of seeing shapes in everything in the world. As a teacher I can see myself making a game out of this book. I would have the students go on a shape hunt. I enjoyed this book and plan on reading it to my class at the early prep school I teach at. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
