"It's True" is a very cute and well illustrated book. In "It's True" the little critter decides to lie and tell his mother only "part" of the truth about doing his chores. But, when the little critter lies to his mother about his chores he realizes that there are some consequences that come with lying. The little critter realizes that he should tell his mother the "whole" truth, rather than only telling "part" of the truth because the whole truth will not have bad consequences but lying and only telling part of it will.
This book teaches young children between the ages of 5-7 in the grades 1st-3rd a good lesson about telling the truth to their families, and when you lie there can be consequences even if you only tell them part of the truth. ( )
