Carry Me Home is the first book in the Tease Entice series by Alexa Bourne. I chose this book because it was set in Scotland and I wanted to read it. No other reason. I also like men with Scottish accents.
Mary left the city she grew up in and moved away from her husband and family to Edinburgh to get over the past. She wants a divorce from her husband Jamie because she thinks he resents her for the tragedy. She is so wrapped up in her grief and upset that she is oblivious to those around her.
Jamie’s is left coping when his wife left him. He loves her but throws himself in his business that he shares with his siblings that he runs the more Mary pushed him away. Jamie is a stubborn man, he does not want to let the best thing in his life slip through his fingers.
The chemistry is blistering hot. The sex scenes were sizzling hot. Overall, I loved this book, but I wished the ending was a little more flushed out. It seemed rushed a bit. It was not until the last few paragraphs that the story finally wrapped up. ( )
