When the three young sisters were split up after their parents’ deaths, the adoptive parents thought it was best for them not to know of the existence of the others. When the truth was accidentally disclosed to the oldest sister, she was determined to reunite the now adult siblings. In this second book in the series, Susanna is dealing with the recent death of her adoptive mother. Now alone, she is part owner of a gift shop along with another Amish woman. But she soon finds out she is not alone, but indeed has two sisters: one raised Amish and one raised English. She is distressed that these two, with whom she has had business dealings, kept the secret from her for several months. She is just becoming used to the idea of family, when a natural disaster strikes her little town. Well written with endearing characters, this Amish tale is more than a simple romance. It delves into the heart of the issue of what it means to be Amish or English, and still to be responsible for your family while being true to yourself. ( )

SUSANNA'S DREAM by Marta Perry is a delightful Inspirational Fiction set in Pleasant Valley, PA. #2 in "The Lost Sisters of Pleasant Vally", but can be read as a stand alone. Although, I would recommend reading Book 1 also. See, "Lydia's Hope".

"As Young girls, three Amish sisters were separated and told nothing about one another. When the long-held secret of their parentage came to light many years later. Two of the grown women reconnected. Now they reach out to the third."

This is Susanna Bitler's story. Her life is in turmoil, a long held family secret is about to be revealed that could destroy her, two sisters-she didn't know she had, is about to reveal themselves, the woman she thought and mourns for, she is soon to learn, is not her biological Mother. A heart wrenching tale, that will stay with you long after the last page, but a very compelling and loving tale of the bond between sisters. An Amish lovers dream. A very enjoyable read. I would recommend to Amish lovers, and anyone who enjoys a sweet, tale that could either destroy one sister, or bring them all together.
First, Susanna must face her own fears. Loved it! Well done!!
Received for an honest review.
