Author Emily Morgan does a terrific job explaining sunsets. The illustrations are wonderful. This is an excellent book to spark the imagination of children. It requires some prior knowledge of sunsets before reading. It is advised to experience a sunrise and sunset before reading. Children will develop new questions as they read through the book. You will learn why sunrise and sunsets happen. Readers will develop a sense of wonder. This book asks many questions that can be discussed with your children. ( )

This book describes how sunsets come to be and how they work. It includes guiding questions to get students thinking about how the sun and our solar system works. To me, this book was not super interesting. It was basically just pages of facts and had a textbook feel to it. I can definitely see how this book would be useful for a project or science lesson, but I can't picture someone choosing this for fun (unless they're really passionate about sunsets). ( )

I love this book it caught my attention because of the beautiful pictures of sunsets, etc. I love the colors of different sunsets. I know the children would enjoy this story because they'll learn and understand different aspects of the Earth's orbit. This book describes the setting that we see from Earth and how did it come about. The sunset lets us know that our day is almost through, as for others on the other side of the Earth, their day is just beginning. This is a great story to read to children about science. ( )

This book answered many common questions surrounding sunsets, from the beauty of its color to the way that it sets. I really enjoyed the read as it was incredibly educational but also so very beautiful. It taught me quite a few things that, at 20 years old, I am ashamed I didn't know before. I think it is the perfect fit for a classroom or school library due to how much it encompasses and in which the way things are explained. ( )

I experienced this book through a reading that took place from space! This was really cool- an astronaut floated through the airlock module to get to his spot to read the book. The pictures are pretty and realistic looking. This book was very informational about what is going on during a sunset. This would be great to use during a Science lesson that includes sunsets. ( )
