This was probably the weakest out of the three volumes, and certainly more cringe. Apparently, this series was never considered to be "completed" and is still marked as "on hiatus". But seeing as it went on hiatus in 2003, roughly twenty years ago, it should be considered a canceled series. The plot line with the boy's school was mildly interesting, but it was very apparent that it was of its time. It's full of cliche tropes from the early 2000s and it reads like it. The extra chapter at the end was honestly a pretty big cliffhanger, so it made this series being canceled even more frustrating. Though apparently it sort of continued on in 2013 under a new name, Drug & Drop, but that apparently got put "on hiatus" permanently as well. I guess I'll read it, just to fully be done with it. Also, I have no idea why this series is tagged as a BL. It's not really a BL, this series just makes constant jokes about BL tropes. Kazahaya responds to even the slightest hint of "homosexual behavior" with disgust and anger. I know that's par for the course for a series from 2003 but looking at this series from the perspective of a reader in 2023, it just feels extremely icky to try and market this as a BL. This is honestly sort of a flop of a series for me. ( )

i have volume 1, actually, not volume 3 like the cover art says. i have yet to find the other volumes, but i want to very much -- i enjoyed 1 a great deal. all the normal things i look for in anime/manga: strange twisting storyline, angsty characters, bishonen, good coats, good drawing... ( )
