This book is about Hot Rod Hamster- A hamster that is fearless and ready for adventure! He rides all the rides at the fair while waiting for the monster truck race to start each one faster and more fun than the last! He gets to sub in for a monster truck driver and decides it was the best ride of all!

I loved this book because each page was filled with bright and colorful illustrations! This can teach kids how to be brave and find their adventurous side! Every time Hot Rod Hamster makes a decision about which tasty treat to eat or which boat to sail, the book asks the reader "which would you choose?". I like that it asks questions so that the reader stays engaged!

As Hot Rod Hamster heads to the fair, he has many many choices to make about rides and treats -- and with each choice, the text invites the audience's participation: "Which would you choose?" I can picture the noisy response of 3 to 5-year old kids, all chiming in with their own choices. When making choices is a huge emphasis for young kids (albeit we want them to think about bigger choices than which color cotton candy at the fair), this enthusiastic title introduces the notion of choices.
