I really loved this story. I actually was not sure how this was going to end. That was great. I received this from Bookfun.org for a fair and honest opinion. ( )

Amish Romance

This is a quick, yet fascinating read with all the ingredients to make this an enjoyable time spent with friends among the Amish. By writing in the first person point of view with vivid imagery the reader is immediately immersed in the life of Sally as she travels to a town with a ridiculous name to help a young girl who has been emailing with her for some time. What she finds there is a surprise both to her and the reader, and it is not just the fact that it is a completely different culture than where she lives with her used-car-salesman father. Just what was the motive of young Lizzie? This is one novel I hope there will be a sequel for, as there was a thread left untied. This book is definitely a stand alone book, not at all the kind where you wish you had not read because you need to buy the next one to enjoy. It is just that inquiring minds need to know!

I received this Ebook free from David C. Cook and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. A positive critique was not required. The opinions are my own. ( )

You Will Love This Great Read!

I really enjoyed this book and this series by author Kate Lloyd. Leaving Lancaster was the first book in this series and I loved it. Pennsylvania Patchwork was the second book in this series and I loved it even more. Having said this, Forever Amish is my favorite in this series.

I do love romance, mystery, twists, and turns. This book has all these and more.

Sally Bingham the main character in this story has never felt like she was whole or truly belonged anywhere. Her father Ed is hiding secrets, big, big, secrets.

Lies, bitterness, unforgiveness, belong to many people in Lancaster County. Can there be forgiveness? Can bitterness leave their lives? Have all the lies surfaced or will some still be hidden?

I smiled, laughed, and was brought to tears many times. This story touched me and hit home. Only God can heal and mend broken hearts. There is a lesson to be learned by us all in, Forever Amish.

A five star book in my opinion and I highly recommend it. ( )

Startling Revelation Leads to Self-Discovery...

Third in the Legacy of Lancaster County Trilogy, Forever Amish definitely holds its own as a stand-alone book. I have not read Kate Lloyd's other novels, but was thoroughly immersed in this tale of a young Englischer searching for her roots. Sally Bingham travels to Lancaster County in answer to repeated emails about her show dogs, only to discover a peaceful world, yet one with great tensions simmering beneath the surface that threaten her security. How will she respond to these new situations and people? Or will she high-tail it for home and the familiar life she left behind?

I loved that Lloyd shows even the Amish struggle with some of the same temptations and sins that Englischers do. I also appreciated how much she emphasized the key to happiness is a willingness to forgive others and move on. I have to wonder how many real life stories end like this one, or if it's one in a blue moon.

I received this book from bookfun.org in exchange for an honest review. ( )

Forever Amish, Legacy of Lancaster Trilogy Book 3 by Kate Lloyd
Who would have know answering emails from Lizzie a young Amish woman, could change her life forever. When Sally Bingham answers an email about her show dogs and decides to visit Lancaster Country she had no idea her world would be turned upside down. Sally has always had questions about her mother but never expected to find answers on a Amish farm. As her engagement comes to an end, she discovers her fathers betray and finds an extend family she had no idea existed. In the mist of this turmoil she finds love and forgiveness.
Kate Lloyd did an outstanding job with this sweet Amish story of peace, forgiveness and faith. I give Forever Amish 5 stars, it is fast paced, sure to grab and hold your attention. This is book 3 of the Legacy of Lancaster trilogy but can be read as a stand alone. If you have not read Pennsylvania Patchwork or Leaving Lancaster you are missing out on some great books.
I want to give a high-five to the author Kate Lloyd and publisher David C Cook for bringing compelling Christian books that are entertaining and give hope to the reader with stories of faith. The Book Club Network Inc. provided me with this book in exchange for my honest review and I am so grateful for their, the authors and publishers generosity. ( )

The third in the Legacy of Lancaster Series, Forever Amish deviates from the mainstream as Amish fiction goes. This parable begins with Sally Bingham and her father who lead fairly ordinary lives aside from the fact that Sally's mother disappeared from her life when she was too young to remember. Sally has been receiving emails from an Amish girl in Pennsylvania which have piqued her curiosity. A weekend trip to Lancaster County launches Sally into a curious situation that has her questioning the direction her life is taking, and opens some doors to her past. Her father's deception surfaces, and Sally's presence in the Amish community opens her eyes to the importance of family and faith. Numerous questions arise and a handsome Amish man attracts Sally's attention, but who could learn to live with the restrictions the Amish Ordnung places on its families?

Kate Lloyd has taken an unexpected approach in the last of this series by introducing a young Englisch woman and her father and creating an unpredictable and unexpected adventure into the Amish community. Deception is a strong theme that could sever relationships or potentially bind them together. A strong contrast between the Amish life and the modern ways of the non-Amish are well delineated throughout this fast-paced novel. The consequences that result from a life of deception are well portrayed throughout, and forgiveness becomes the focus in the lives of the characters in this complex story. The author has created a thought-provoking and strong moral thread in this final book in this series. This could easily be a stand-alone book, not reliant on the prequels. Enjoy!
