It introduces the colors as well as a few vocabulary words which can be found in the back glossary. ( ) diverse picture book (colors / toddler/preschool ages 2-6) * Book prominently features diverse characters: yes, the main characters belong to a dark-skinned family of Latinx descent. The text is mostly in English, but introduces colors and illustrated terms in Spanish (which are also defined in a glossary at the back). * Book would work for a toddler/preschool storytime. The text is nice and short, and the identification of the colors invites audience participation. Teachers/readers might struggle a bit with the Spanish pronunciation of the words, and there is no pronunciation guide, but thankfully there are no double-r words for me to fail to roll. * Book works well with the "colors" theme. This book is a great tool to use in a spanish/english classroom, or when introducing spanish to students. The Illustrations are beautiful, each page focuses on a new color, and introduces spanish vocabulary with the main focus being on spanish colors. At the end there is a glossary of all of the terms used so you can clarify anything that may have been unclear. I think that is a great feature. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
