Great fun for storytime when you pair the reading with the song! ( ) Church uses the children's song Do Your Ears Hang Low? as her text, with an added second verse, while the illustrations depict two charming puppies with long ears enjoying an afternoon romp. With nice simple illustrations and familiar text this works well for toddlers although the motions which Church includes in the back of the book are really better for preschoolers. The fold-out page at the end of the story is fun for kids, but definitely wears out more quickly than the rest of the book. Our library copy has been taped up in multiple places. This worked fine for baby storytime with the parents doing adapted motions with the babies - they either moved the babies' arms around or the parents just made the motions themselves either touching the baby or where the baby could see. Used for music-themed storytime programs (Terrific T's, Preschool, and Family) 3/3/09 and 3/5/09. Used for Musical Mania baby storytime on 3/11/11. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
