( ) What starts out as a simple message from a mother to her son, is quickly lost in translation. This is a simple, humorous story about how miscommunication and misunderstanding can completely alter an individual's words. Illustrations throughout this book feature various birds that are full of such visual personality that they need no introduction. Luckily, the message is somehow decoded just in time for its intended recipient. My family and I play telephone all the time and the kids love it. They would love this book. It is so funny how the words change so much between each bird but yet at the end the wise owl knows exactly what needed to be said. This would be a fun book to read to a class and then get them to play telephone themselves. The art also makes it very funny because of how the birds look and are dressed. I will definitely read this book to my siblings. In this book a mother sends out a simple message to her son that gets completely changed because of miscommunication. Just like the game telephone, each bird tells their own version of the message that is being passed along. This is a good book for students to practice their listening skills and play their own game of telephone. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
