I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It's told from the point of view of both the main characters - John and Cath - two coworkers who fall in love while having to deal with a creepy, womanizing boss, gossipy coworkers, and trust issues from past relationships.

I love how John was portrayed as slightly overweight, and Cath accepts (and actually prefers) this type of man. In the real world, everyone isn't supermodel perfect, and it's refreshing to read a book that addresses this. ( )

I really liked that it was completely different from the usual "love stories": this is what "true love" is all about!

In Just Another Day at the Office, you won't find the perfect, rich and handsome guy who falls for the damsel in distress, nor that girl who turns out to be the sexiest virgin in the neighborhood/ workplace/ wherever. You get to know real characters, with all the insecurities and issues of real people, you get to understand them and see how they develop their relationship while dealing with everything else in their lives.

Not only the depiction of the characters was realistic, but also most of the events that take place in the book were believable. There were a couple of things that didn't fully convince me, but I can't complain because the story was captivating.

It was so well-written that I didn't want to put it down! A great read! ( )

This is a book of what real people in real work situations and love lives are like. There is questioning, speculation, and wondering all throughout this book. It isn't a typical love story novel, which is why I think I enjoyed this book. I enjoyed reading about normal people, who met in an everyday setting. Normally when we meet someone for the first time we wonder if they like us, if we are moving too fast, or wonder if they're too good for us, and this book is able to bring light to both sides of the story. I thought it was a great way to read about real people and real situations to know that love stories aren't all about the lust, but also about the awkward, self-conscious times as well. ( )

There was something about this book´s story that was missing but I can´t put my finger on what it was.

If you are looking for a little more realistic love story with characters who are just like us with poor self-confidence and in relationshipswho are not always as simple as it looks like then this is book you should read. Not the usual romance you're used to reading about in books.
