It’s been five years since Shoya bullied Shoko so badly she left her elementary school. In the meantime, Shoya’s life has changed and he wants to make up for the cruelty he inflicted on Shoko. When they meet up again, will he be able to speak his truth, will Shoko’s family allow him to, and will Shoko even listen? I don’t know what I was expecting with this volume of A Silent Voice, but it was super cute and heartwarming. I loved how protective Yuzuru was of Shoko, even if they didn’t go about doing it the right way. Tomohiro and Shoya’s friendship is adorable and I love those two. I was super excited to see Sign Language being used this time around by quite a few of the characters. I’m really curious to see if and how Shoko and Yuzuru’s mom possibly changes. Because right now, she’s definitely my least favorite character and I don’t understand her rudeness and disinterest in Yuzuru at all. This was just a cute and wholesome volume that really makes me excited to continue with the series. Everyone’s friendships are just starting out and I’m so curious to see where it goes from here. Also - a must read for those who like the former asshole redeems himself trope! geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
