I know Brown is a well-respected authority on this subject,, but I simply find it impossible to get past the methodology of his work in order to take his conclusions seriously. There is, as far as I can tell, not one shred of objective evidence that what he has to say about the Antioch church has anything to do with Antioch at all. After that, the rest of the book went down the drain for me. ( )
