Niall's three sons, Brennan, Hart and Corin, are willful, headstrong and irresponsible. Niall, despairing of them ever attaining maturity decides that all he can do is to send them out into the world to become the men they must become to fulfill their destinies. Unfortunately for the three, Strahan still wants to obtain and convert them to service to the Seker. And Strahan is nothing if not patient and persistent.

This is the first book in the series in which there is more than a single viewpoint provided by the author. That, in and of itself, makes the book interesting. Additionally, with three main characters, there is a realized potential for conflict between the three - both early in the book to provide a wedge that Strahan uses to convert them, and at the end when we don't know if blood loyalty will remain or if self-preservation will cause brother to turn against brother.

I enjoyed this one. Not quite as much as Donal's book, but it was still a very solid effort. ( )
