This book helps children understand the importance of being yourself. It also showed the importance of friendship and its value and affects it has on people. Milli was always afraid of dancing and inventing things in front of other people. Milli did not understand how good she would feel about herself until she actually was doing what she loved instead of masking herself to look ordinary in front of others. When Jack and the dancing cat came along, they showed her new dances and she showed them she new inventions. She soon loved showing her personality and wanted to do so more in her town. This is when she realized that others would accept her because they were curious and liked what they saw. This helped her realize that you have to accpet yourself before others will. This story also shows people that sometimes all someone needs is a little push from their friends. ( ) geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
