Legendary football coach Vince Dooley of the University of Georgia tells his favorite stories from the 1980 season, when the Bulldogs team won the national championship. Featuring the incomparable Hershel Walker, Georgia went undefeated in 1980, beating Notre Dame 17-10 in the Sugar Bowl. Vince Dooely was head coach at UGA from 1964 to 1988, winning 201 games, six SEC championships, and the 1980 national championship. He was the SEC Coach of the Year seven times and national Coach of the Year in 1980 and 1982. He has been inducted into both the Alabama and Georgia sports halls of fame and the College Football Hall of Fame. He was Athletic Director at the University of Georgia from 1978 to 2004.
