Have read other books by the same author and enjoyed the recipes.
We no longer buy processed foods so this will be a good cookbook for us as we avoid it by not buying it.
To us it is not a diet but a whole new lifestyle for us after my husband's heart attack over a year ago.
Other works by the author are highlighted at the beginning of this book. The book is broken up into sections appetizers, meals, breads, salads, soups, and desserts.
Each recipes comes with step by step instructions and also has some nutritional information at the end.
Does not state what a serving size is though.
Some recipes have a very colorful picture to go along with the recipe. ( )

I recieved this book in exchange for honest and unbiased review. I keep hearing about clean eating, but not exactly sure what it is. I'm sure it's more than cleaning your food before preparation or cleaning the dishes or safe cooking standards.

The author said clean eating is knowing about where your food comes from and what's in it. Clean eating means avoiding processed foods. Some processed foods include canned goods (which I love), white flour, and items, which you can't identify each ingredient. He also mentioned one of my staples, instant oatmeal.

The author also discussed what you can eat such as fresh and raw foods. He also mentioned canned goods, which doesn't contain any additives. He also recommends organic foods. Other clean foods include nuts, fruit, farm range eggs, and coconut oil.

Next, the author focuses on how to cook clean. First, avoid fried foods and focus on steaming, stewing, and using less salt.

The beginning section was very helpful in explaining clean food and techniques.

Finally, the author provides clean eating recipes. Some of the recipes, I liked included. I loved the first appetizer: the guacamole bruschetta. I love breads. I love avocado. I also liked the cream cheese cucumber cups and the mini spinach pizzas, using pita bread.

For salads, I loved the spinach and avocado salad with poppy seed dressing. For entrees, I loved the Mediterranean stuffed eggplants, the meatless chili, and the zucchini fries.

Finally for desserts, I loved the two ingredient oatmeal cookies (rolled oats and bananas) and the clean chocolate souffle.
