A quick little read I picked up at a bookstore recently. I’ve read The Odyssey before, but I wanted a refresher on Circe’s scenes. I am hoping to re-read Miller‘s Circe soon because I love that book so much. Rereading the original story I was reminded of the beautiful language and the brutality of the story. So much death and violence, but told so lyrically. (

Odysseus is a dick head... 90% of his issues are of his own making. He also thoughtlessly sacrifices his people in order to save his own hide. If you can over-look that is a fine story. (
