He reads about Val's story in the newspaper and basis his second novel on her husband's death. Unbeknownst to him, Val is publishing his first novel..... While the characters were well developed and the interaction between Val and Gus isn't your typical made-for-tv special, I still found nothing extraordinary in the novel. Enjoyable, but forgettable.
