Monica Murphy has done a beautiful job with the Fowler sisters series. Each story takes the reader into the mind of the two main characters. Taming Lily (Book3) is Lily and Max's story. At first I was not a big fan of the first person storytelling, I mean it takes some getting used to. Then I started to realize Ms. Murphy knew just what she was doing. It gives the chance to experience the story in Max and Lily's own words. This gives the reader a chance to learn what each individual was thinking at a specific moment. A genius way to capture the audience's attention. Lily is an interesting character. She displays a tough outer shell that land her in troubling situations but is really vulnerable, seeking acceptance and searching for someone to love her for herself. Max's attraction is to Lily is primal. She is his obsession in more ways than one. He wants to protect her from all but himself. But he has a secret that could destroy any relationship between him and Lily. Taming Lily is a dark sexy read that will leave emotions in a chaotic freefall. ENJOYED EVERY MINUTE!!! ( )

I haven't read any of this series, but feel the need to go back and check them out. The writing was good. I felt engaged for most of the book though I had a few facepalm moments. It's inevitable with romance novels though.

Overall I read the book really quickly and enjoyed my brief time with it. I don't think you need the backstory from the previous two books to follow along with the story.

Loved getting to root for a heroine that wasn't the classy always on her game type. And our Hero was meh for me. I guess in some ways the war parts of his story left me wanting more or maybe less as a veteran's wife. Still easily overlooked.

This was the last installment to a series I hadn't read the previous two books in, but I still quite enjoyed it.

The direction that the story went in definitely surprised me as we got further into the book. At first it seemed like a straight-up, no doubt lady-pron. But once they remove from the island (which I sincerely didn't like would happen. I was totally convinced they would be married after knowing each other three days) and go back to NYC we still have half of the book left.

The characters were interesting. While I don't see any growth in Lily, that's ok because I think she was in a good place for herself. As far as Max was concerned, I was surprised when he actually went through with his mission, but pleased with the ending anyway. He was obviously so conflicted about the whole thing, although if I was Lily, I would have made him grovel a bit more.

I also like the switching back and forth between the POVs. Letting us into both characters helped show the issues both were going through, and with Max I feel like he would have been a much less likable hero if we hadn't been able to see his conflict the whole time.

But yeah, cute story, if a little heavy on the sexy times, but what's here is good and I'll definitely look into reading the other stories in this series since the teasers you get about the other sisters were very intriguing.

Absolutely awesome!! Wonderfully written, super sexy, and filled with intrigue. This is a great story and the chemistry between Max and Lily is off the charts.

Wild child Lily Fowler has always been the sister finding trouble, living life full out. Wanting to follow her own path and not follow in the rest of the families footsteps has left her a little lost. When she stumbles upon information that can possibly bring her family to it's knees both personally and professionally, Lily runs. Again. She's being watched though. Why, she's not sure but soon she and her watcher Max, are chatting and more. Can she trust him or does he have other motives????

This is one you don't want to miss. I highly recommend it. ( )
