I'll be frank. I don't trust myself to do this book in storytime. Too much rhyming ;) And it borders on a tongue twister!! It's also not my favorite Karma Wilson either (who I adore). All that said, this story would be a fun one for teaching animal sounds to children. Indeed, I would love those elements in a storytime!

There is also funny humor all throughout, especially at the end, that does make this a fun one! ( )

Duddle Puck the Puddle Duck is about a duck who goes around the farm making different animal noises. The other animals get distressed that he may not know he's a duck and what sound he should make and try to change him. This is a good fantasy book because animals can not talk or make other animal noises. The illustrations are in watercolor. Could be used for Primary or Intermediate or even older if you use it correctly. ( )

This was a cute story. It teaches children that they do not have to fit in or be the way society tells them they should be. It teaches about individuality and it has cute farm animals. It would be a good book for teaching children about sounds that animals make. ( )
