I think that dreaming is the key to having a healthy imagination. Appelemando came from a plain colorless town and he loved to dream. He spent his time daydreaming with his friends. One day his friends learned how to catch his dreams on anything wet. Soon Appelemando’s dreams came to life when one day he was dreaming and it started to rain. His dreams became painted on the walls of the town. At first, this caused a ruckus until the older townspeople saw the beauty in his dreams. This is a great book to show how imagination and dreaming can really brighten up a persons life. ( )

This book is about a boy called Appelemando who liked dreaming. His friends were always excited when he dreamed. When they were in trouble, his friends did not blame Appelemando, but still encourage he to dream which helped them get of the awkward situation. The illustrations in this book is really good, and it tells how important it is to have dream and true friends. Thus, I would like to use this book in my teaching. This book is suitable for 2-4 graders to read. ( )

A story about Applemando, the little boy who loved to dream. When he got troubles, his friends also encourage him to keep dreaming. I will use this book in my class because I can teach my students about imagination and friendship. It is suitable for third graders. ( )

This is a lovely story of dreams, beautiful images that start in the imagination and are felt vividly by Appelemando's close friends. While the townsfolk deride Appelemando, his close friends applaud and live in his dream world.

When the towns people learn the usefulness and beauty of his talent, their environment is filled with incredible, wonderful beauty. ( )

This book is a wonderful story to show how important it is to dream. At the beginning, the villagers thought Appelemando would not amount to anything. All he did was sit around the drab village and dream. Appelemando's friends could see his dreams but nobody else could. Until one day the friends realize his dreams stick to anything that is moist or damp. One day it rained and Appelemando's dreams appeared all over town.
The villagers were upset and angry that someone would vandalized the town. When the kids tried to explain the story of the dreams, the villagers told Appelemando to dream right then and there to prove it. Feeling pressured, Appelemando could not dream at all. The kids left and got lost on their way home. Appelemando was upset he disappointed his friends. He built up enough drive to dream into the sky so the villagers could find them.
The vocabulary is fun and the pictures captivate readers. I would read this book to my class to show them to never give up on their dreams. ( )
