Slower than I would have liked but still a very well written book. Loved the plot line and the characters. Will definitely continue the series. ( ) This is the first of the Regan Reilly mystery series. I enjoy the rather spare writing style. There is just enough detail, but not overdone. Dialogue seems natural. Characters are interesting, but not overly developed, leaving room for growth in subsequent books. Regan and her froend Kit are attending a class reunion for St. Polycarp's College in Oxford England. They are wondering if Regan's roommate, roommate, a Greek girl who disappeared 10 years ago, will be there. Lady Exner of Llewellyn Hall invites the former students for tea. Lady Exner's nephew Phillip is still a professor at Polycarp. The girl's were surprised to meet Phillip's fiance, as they figured him to be the perennial bachelor. Lady Ezner is planning a cruise to New York, but her companion falls ill. Phillip asks Regan if she would travel with Lady Exner. Lady Exner is obcessed with wanting Regan's Mom to write her memoirs. There is something afoot onboard the cruieship. Not all the first class guests are what they seem. Plus, Regan is still trying to figure out what happened to her old college roommate. This was a fun very fast read. This is a good one from the younger Clark mystery writer. Very short and light but it keeps you wondering at first who is the bad guy and second, will Regan be able to save her elderly charge and herself? Also, the current situation has ties to a ten- year old murder so that keeps it really interesting! geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe

The daughter of a successful mystery writer and a P.I. with pizzazz, Regan Reilly is attending her class reunion at St. Polycarp's England, when the long-dead body of her former roommate turns up under the bushes. It's a case Regan would love to solve, but a prior commitment puts her on a transatlantic cruise. She shouldn't have fretted. The clues to the crime are following her on the Queen Guinevere. Here, on a ship awash with secret lovers, a fortune hunter, a jewel thief and an assassin, Regan is sailing home -- and into the hands of a young girl's killer.
