The Grace Outpouring is the story of Roy Godwin and the Welsh retreat centre, Ffald-y-Brenin. Godwin came to lead the retreat centre when God because God strongly impressed on he (and the board at Fflad-y-Brenin) that this is where God wanted him. Under his tenure he has seen God move in this place by blessing those who come there. Often people just show up, feeling drawn there. Godwin gives them a tour and blesses them. Sometimes these people experience God's presence in a powerful way.

The heart of Fflad-y-Brenin is prayer. Godwin also connects the move of God's Spirit there to God's historic move among the Celtic people. There is a historic connection to the land and a commitment to prayer in Celtic Christianity. Fflad-y-Brenin embodies that and represents an interesting expression of the Anglican Charismatic movement. This book was a interesting read and whets my appetite for God to move with power in my own life and ministry.

This book is an astonishing story. The temptation to big it up and grab a bit of the limelight must have been considerable; but it didn't come across like that.

The other thing that really struck me was the author's desire to pray blessing on all those around; their crops, their livestock and their homes, quite regardless of who they are. This is a very powerful message for a Western church that is increasingly accepting a private view of religion foisted on it by a secular society
