I'm done with this series, sorry. I would like to (or do) believe in magick, and this author shows no understanding of it. Young lady finds out she's a witch. Bam, she's doing spells. No training, no respect for the craft (do no harm lest it return threefold), tosses aside a book of shadows as a 'recipe book' and never references it again.

I'm not saying it was poorly written, but the plots (I read #1 and #2 in a few hours each) were silly and unbelievable with absolutely no honor of the traditions. Give me Nora Roberts, Shirley Damsgaard, Debora Geary or a multitude of others any day. Two stars as a credit to the author for decent editing and completing a number of books.

Another fun mystery with the kitchen witch. Amelia finds a man dead on her porch, and the police are not happy that she is involved once again. She and her friends try to solve the mystery using the Internet, ordinary sleuthing, spells, her protective house, and get the assistance of a local private detective. There is lots of situational humor and awful puns. These are really funny, quick cozy mysteries that anyone could enjoy! (
