First Cooking Book that I read that did not manage to make hungry and everything makes me hungry. ( ) Chrissy Teigen wasn't really on my radar before this cookbook (other than being John Legend's wife), but you can bet she is now. She is hilarious and really real. And she totally knows good food. I've tried several recipes from this book that were delicious, but I would've bought it for the Chipotle-Honey Chicken alone. With great enthusiasm, and much love of subject, multi-media star Chrissy Teigen and food writer Adeena Sussman have delivered âCravings: Recipes for What You Want to Eatâ into the hands of the hungry public. For Teigen, itâs all about flavorâfull-throttle flavorâsalty, peppery, spicy, eat-with-heat flavor. Thai foods from Teigenâs own heritage are interspersed with a variety of dishes, including recipes from her husband, singer John Legend. Keeping Teigenâs super-model figure in super-style means keeping her kitchen wits about her and also keeping her sense of humor. The food is good, definitely not boringâhow could it be with Teigenâs personality infused throughout the pages? You know that feeling when you want something to eat, something good, but you just canât figure out what you really want? You might find exactly the right taste youâre seeking in âCravingsâ. Hereâs a sampler of recipes: âSpicy Tomato Skillet Eggs with Prosciuttoâ; âPot Pie Soup with Crust Crackersâ; âCobb Salad with Honey-Mustard Ranch Dressingâ; âSesame Chicken Noodlesâ; âSteak Bites with Melty Blue Cheese Butterâ; âShrimp Summer Rollsâ; âButtery Glazed Green Beansâ; âMexican Street Cornâ; âZucchini Friesâ; âHerby, Lemony, Spicy, Garlicky Roasted Whole Fishâ; âJohnâs Marinated Steaksâ; and âDadâs Fried Fish Sandwich with Coleslaw and Tartar Sauceâ. If your cravings tend toward the sweeter side of lifeâsorry, thereâs no dessert section in this book. Teigen loves to cook, but says she canât bake, and after all, she is a supermodel who âhas to make every bite countâ. Visit her on the web at âSo Delushiousâ. Book Copy Gratis Clarkson Potter Publishers via Blogging for Books One day I'll actually cook recipes from cookbooks, but today is not that day. Instead, I'll continue reading them straight, as I really appreciate those with a sense of humor and personality sprinkled amongst the food, and Cravings has that in spades. Though definitely written with [a:Adeena Sussman|553059|Adeena Sussman|https://s.gr-assets.com/assets/nophoto/user/u_50x66-632230dc9882b4352d753eedf9396530.png] for recipe ideas, the flavor text introducing the recipes is very much Teigen, and I really appreciate the personal flair as it does sound like what a good friend would say, sharing a recipe. The recipes themselves were easy to follow, and I didn't see any intimidating techniques... I did spy a few things where suggested marinating time could be 12-24 hours but wasn't reflected in prep, which indicated the minimum, but that's a minor quibble. The photography is excellent. I also learned via googling an offhand mention to living in Idaho that Chrissy lived in my hometown for a time, so our childhoods may have overlapped! geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe

HTML:Maybe sheâ??s on a photo shoot in Zanzibar. Maybe sheâ??s making people laugh on TV. But all Chrissy Teigen really wants to do is talk about dinner. Or breakfast. Lunch gets some love, too. For years, sheâ??s been collecting, cooking, and Instagramming her favorite recipes, and here they are: from breakfast all day to Johnâ??s famous fried chicken with spicy honey butter to her momâ??s Thai classics. Salty, spicy, saucy, and fun as sin (thatâ??s the food, but thatâ??s Chrissy, too), these dishes are for family, for date night at home, for party time, and for a few life-sucks moments (salads). Youâ??ll learn the importance of chili peppers, the secret to cheesy-cheeseless eggs, and life tips like how to use bacon as a home fragrance, the single best way to wake up in the morning, and how not to overthink men or Brussels sprouts.
