This book was the gift from a dear friend of mine, my age who hails from Mississipi, that arrived in the mail shortly after my husband died. My friend said it made her laugh, and she knew I needed a laugh. That was in 2017, and i only now, four years later decided to read it and as I expected, I'm laughing. It's really kind of a memorial to certain kinds of Southern values, food, and people that I'm very familiar with, and most Southerners in my age group are - for others it may seem like quaint, rather ancient, history, but it's still fun to read, and the recipes are fantastic for those who actually cook and bake! geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
