Christoph Martin Wieland (1733-1813) zählt zu den bedeutendsten Schriftstellern des Rokoko und der Aufklärung, er gilt als Begründer des Bildungsromans sowie als Wegbereiter der Weimarer Klassik und hat sich insbesondere als Herausgeber und Übersetzer verdient gemacht. A critical edition of his extensive complete oeuvre, which is offered here in its entirety for the first time, presents an undertaking long due and a notable event in literary history.
