The Cheese Experiment is a short, graphic novel that students love! The books are fun and interactive with the reader so much that the student will not want to put it down. I used this book as a reading center for a 3rd grade class. They read a chapter and then we asked questions to make sure they knew what was happening. The pictures in throughout the book can help the student take a pause and see what they are reading “in action”. The 3rd graders loved using the pictures to answer questions after looking about images, text boxes, etc.. The series “Geronimo Stilton” is great series for independent reading and whole group for any age level. The Early Childhood grade could read it as a whole group but by 3rd grade they can be reading it by themselves and comprehending what is happening. ( )
