The only reason I finished this book, and even then by only reading the first sentence of most paragraphs or completely skipping over parts, is because I forced myself to. The book is in serious need of editing and organization. I mean serious need. This book was practically unreadable in its organization, layout, inclusion of unnecessary and irrelevant material, grammar, and bias. This could have been a good book but the author took on too much and added too much. ( ) geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
Chicago and its history are defined by such notorious crime figures as Al Capone and John Dillinger. Gangland Chicago vividly recounts the evolution of street gangs in Chicago before Capone and Dillinger, and the rise of organized crime that earned the Windy City a reputation for unchecked violence, lawlessness, and mayhem.
