At first, nouns stayed with nouns and verbs with verbs until they realized they needed each other. Thoughts and Feelings: This book made me want to sort some verbs. I thought it was funny how some nouns belonged with some verbs, but didn’t want to, like chomp and cookie. Critique: Genre: This book helps children to understand what nouns and verbs are, and how to use them. It creates nouns and verbs to be people who do/act like what they are. For example, a noun says, "games, races, contests," while a verb says, "listen." This gives children examples, while creating an interesting story for them to read about for field day. Plot: The story progresses with children first leaving the classroom on a field day, while all the nouns and verbs are left behind. This could not take place in real life, but it progresses through different examples of nouns and verbs to relate to children. There is a conflict because the nouns and verbs aren't sure what to do without the children in the classroom. However, it gets solved when the nouns and verbs decide to show the class what a good time they can have. Media: collage geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
