Cleland's visual on "highways" and "service roads" when talking about plots and sub-plots clicked for me--much more so than other descriptions of "the B Story." This is a great book on the craft of writing. ( ) Great insight, tips and advice! One of the things I enjoy the most about reading these types of books is the greater appreciation I have when I read a novel written by an author who utilizes the methods I've read about. It's not surprising that those are the books that are hard(er) to put down! I never realized before what it is that separates the good books from the phenomenal!!! geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
