They are searching but can't find the little boy. In the middle of this Frank Machado came to visit Abby and DJ. Frank was her husband's best friend and saved his life in Afghanistan but couldn't save him on his last mission. After hearing so much about Abby from his friend over the years, Frank had fallen in love with her. Sparks fly and the get very close. Their bond becomes even stronger when they take off for North Pole to find Abby's son. This cute Christmas story takes us into the mind of a 5 year old which is so much fun but we also have the heartache of a mother whose son is missing. Add a romance to the story and you've got a perfect Christmas escape. Even though there were a bunch of things that just wouldn't/couldn't happen in real life, I overlooked them to enjoy the magic of the story. The only negative about this book was that the story was only half of it. The rest was the first chapter of the other books in this series.
