I am a fan of Anna Kendrick and love her honesty, she had me laughing through most of the audiobook, and having her narrating was fantastic. ( ) Its interesting, but im not really sure what I was expecting... I think the last hour - hour and a half really went in a different direction? But idk, it was okay. It didn't really hit anywhere in specific detail, but I do like the quiet nods she did todays healthy relationships, boundaries, sex positivity, and just living life as herself. But I dont really think I picked up anything from it nor would I recomend it to someone else. I found Scrappy Little Nobody to be a refreshing, entertaining and honest appraisal of the author's life to date. Anna Kendrick delivers a narrative with which most people can identify - at least at some point in their lives. It's a reminder to her fans and really to anyone who reads the book, that while the nature of celebrity life is different, it's no less hectic and typical in many ways. And it's a reminder that no matter who you are, growing up can be awkward as Hell! The author's writing style is enjoyable and makes the reader feel comfortable, no matter the subject matter. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe

At the ripe age of thirteen, she had already resolved to "keep the crazy inside my head where it belonged. Forever. But here's the thing about crazy: It. Wants. Out." In Scrappy Little Nobody, she invites readers inside her brain, sharing extraordinary and charmingly ordinary stories with candor and winningly wry observations. With her razor-sharp wit, Anna recounts the absurdities she's experienced on her way to and from the heart of pop culture as only she canâ??from her unusual path to the performing arts (Vanilla Ice and baggy neon pants may have played a role) to her double life as a middle-school student who also starred on Broadway to her initial "dating experiments" (including only liking boys who didn't like her back) to reviewing a binder full of butt doubles to her struggle to live like an adult woman instead of a perpetual "man-child." Enter Anna's world and follow her rise from "scrappy little nobody" to somebody who dazzles on the stage, the screen, and now the pageâ??with an electric, singular voice, at once familiar and surprising, sharp and sweet, funny and serious (well, not tha Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |
