Great children exclpdiea for all things visual for children This encyclopedia includes 14 sections ranging from The Universe to The Human Body to Architecture to Everyday Things. Each entry is accompanied by full colour photographs and clearly labelled diagrams. While much of the content in the Universe and Physics and Chemistry sections were over my head, the diagrams in the Human Body, Prehistoric Earth, Geology, Geography and Meteorology, and Sports sections would be of particular use to school teachers and the “exploded views” of Everyday Things provide a unique and interesting look at how everyday objects are constructed. The introduction is too brief however and does not clearly demonstrate how the reference resource can be used, but the Appendix of Useful Data is as it states useful and the Index makes finding specific items and entries much easier to find for those unsure which category it would fall into. A decent addition to a school reference collection, especially for those more visual learners, but a larger format would be even better. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
