I enjoyed that the heroes were supposed to have animosity but didn’t, and their romance seemed easy and sweet. The outside stuff with the team wasn’t my favorite part, but I guess there needed to be something happening considering Misha and Max didn’t really have any conflict with each other. I don’t think that I’ll read any more of the series though. ( ) I almost-almost skipped this book b/c the premise starts on shaky ground for me. But it was well done. And I think I was rewarded. Avon Gale & my relationship is spotty, at best. Very miss-and I keep trying. Funny, I was just saying to Angry "Where are all the uncomplicated men in romance?" And here's one in Max--kind of what you see is what you get joyful Midwestern boy who loves and is loved by his family. He was a good complement to Misha's more broody personality. Overall, it was just a sweet, well-timed read for me...3.4 So I ended up reading this book more or less in one sitting before going to bed. This is the the third book in the Scoring Chances series and moved the events to Spartansburg, with some cameos by characters in the previous book. The protagonists are Max and Misha—a check on the ice by the latter ended the career of the latter, but when they are thrown together as the assistant and head coach of a bad team, they slowly bond and end up as lovers. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
