I really enjoyed the illustrations. They covered the whole entire page with absolutely no white spaces. I feel like this engages the reader into the story. There was also a lot of repetition in the book. Each page had the same concept of adding an animal to journeying until the king and the language "and they went along, and they went along." The repetition was difficult to follow as it made me want to rush through the story. The message of this book is to not trust everyone you come across. ( ) Hobson, S. (1994). Chicken Little. New York: Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers. Sally Hobson illustrates this version of Chicken Little. While there is not much changed in the text, the illustrations are big and bright and colorful, which many children will probably enjoy. The story is also something children will enjoy because of the rhyming characters' names (Foxy Loxy, Henny Penny) and also for the repetitive lines throughout the story. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
