Everything keeps going wrong until there’s no one left - but there is another book to go!
I'm really not happy with the direction she chose to take in this book. ( )

En spennende avslutning
Reunification utvikler verdensbildet helt til det siste.
"The Gate to Futures Past" river deg med på en reise med Sira og hennes medflyktninger oppdager en verden der de hører hjemme på en måte de aldri kunne drømme om. Veien hjem er brolagt med farer og intriger, når de vel kommer frem må de ta gode valg for å passe inn.
På ferden har jeg sterk medynk for kasteballene mellom fred og fare i Sira's følge. "Julie E. Czerneda" skriver lett og ledig med dyp innlevelse og et levende persongalleri. Hun går ikke dypt inn i tekniske detaljer men skildrer en storslagen levende verden av underverk lette å forestille seg.
Jeg liker hvordan hun klarer å skape scener der flere skapninger bidrar med å skape løsninger i en kompleks verden.
Sira's tendens til fortsette når ting går feil passer ikke med mitt bilde av Sira.

A Thrilling Closure
Reunification develops the worldview continiously to the end.
"The Gate to Futures Past" pulls you along on a journey with Sira and her companions discovering å world in which they belong in a way they never imagined. The road home are paved with dangers and intrigues, at their arrival they need to take some good choices to fit in.
On the voyage I feel sorry for Sira's compatriots beeing bucked back and forth between peace and danger. "Julie E. Czerneda" writes in a easy compassionate way with a vivid gallery of characters. She does'nt plow deep in technical details but designs a grand living world of wonders easy to imagine.
I like how she creates where several creatures takes part in creating solutions in a complecs world.
Sira's tendency to keep going when things go wrong does not fit my image of the careful planner Sira di Sarc.

Second in Czerneda's Reunification series, this appears to be the end of that sequence and of the Clan Chronicles as a whole. It is a satisfying end.

The remaining Mhiray and Om'ray are on the ship Sona, heading "home", wherever that may be. But Sona is a very strange ship, with no apparent controls and the habit of unexpectedly shutting down unused spaces. And the tattered refugees are beset with bad memories and mental disturbances. When they arrive at their destination, it is nothing that they could have imagined. And their true home is stranger still.
